It's been a crazy couple of years, I emigrated with my family to the US, stressful, but well worth it. Since moving here, I finally got myself out of my digital doldrums and started playing with acrylics. I've posted up photos of my first pieces, I may scan and upload proper prints later. I'm still experimenting, I haven't touched paint since high school, and that was a LONG time ago and even back then, I wasn't confident with it, preferring pastel, charcoal and pencil instead. I don't know why, but suddenly I have loads of ideas that i want to get down, so I have a little notebook that is rapidly filling with rough sketches as images pop into my head. Maybe the dreaded menopause has unblocked something in my head, I don't know for sure, but I am very happy with what is currently falling out of my brain, at least on a creative level. Anyway, it's nice to be back. I have my 5th piece sat on my easel and roughed out. I'm going to move onto proper canvases instead of crappy acrylic paper once I've got my confidence up, at that time I'll probably revisit a few of these practice works and see how I get on...
